I'm so happy to be included in the Oil Painter's of America 2013 Salon Show hosted by the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, MI. The many esteemed artists selected  guarantee a stellar show!  The show hangs from June 21st - August 31 with the Opening Reception on June 21st from 5pm - 9pm.

   I'm happy to have "Winter Trees" and "Winter Scene"  in The Susan Powell Fine Art Annual Holiday Show.

The show will feature 25 Artists December 1, 2011- January 31, 2012.

Opening Reception: Thursday, December 1.     5-8pm

I'm honored that Detroit Institute Of Art Curator, Jane Dini, selected three of my paintings to be exhibited in the annual show in Birmingham, MI. All  sold the night of the opening and this one was selected for a Gold Award!

"Evening Approaching"

Just got back from 3 weeks of painting on the east coast.  I met artists from around the country in the Adirondacks and dropped off paintings in Connecticut for Susan Powell's Summer Coastal Show.

   Here's a picture from OutdoorPainter.com of me painting one of the Adirondack  falls. The shot was taken by Vianna Szabo, an artist who travelled out to the Adirondacks with me. WE attended the Publisher Invitational which was put together by Eric Rhoads of Plein Air Magazine. It was a fantastic event and one that impressed all who attended!

Summer starts off with a week in the Adirondacks. I'm thrilled to be invited to join host Eric Rhoads of Plein Air Magazine and other invited artists to spend a week  painting and talking about painting and thinking about painting,painting some more and well you get the idea! From there I'll head to the Connecticut coast to plein air paint in preparation for the coastal show at the Susan Powell Fine Art Gallery in Madison, CT.  I'll also be teaching a plein air workshop at the Guilford Art Center.  Looking forward to painting with a lot of great artists and visiting some artists whose work I've long admired! February is off to a good start. 3 more paintings have found  homes to  wonderful new art collectors.  I notice all my barn paintings seem to get scooped up quickly. Luckily I love painting them and there are lots of them in Michigan.

I'm setting up my workshop schedule for 2011. So far I'll be doing ....

2 day workshop April 22nd and 23rd through Two Twelve Arts in Saline, Michigan 

2 day workshop  July 9th, 10th through the Guilford Art Center in Guilford, Connecticut 

August 4th - 6th through The Traverse City Art Center in Traverse City, MI

August 8th, 9th through the Saugatuck Center For The Arts, Saugatuck, MI

5 day workshop Sept 12 through Sept 16th through the Coastal Maine Workshops in Rockland, Maine
